I’ve watched this a few times over the years and it’s always great. If you haven’t seen it (and you’re a fan of the shows) you gotta see it. If you haven’t seen it (but are not a fan of the shows) you gotta see it. On the surface it’s absurd and ridiculous but if Star Trek has touched your life in any way...this film will hit home in a big way

Can’t wait for the new Picard show to premiere.

It could be very good, but it could also be very bad. I’m putting my faith in Patrick Stewart to guide the other producers and the writers into making it a fresh, compelling story worthy of an older, elderly Picard.

If you like episodic sci-fi and some mild humour I highly recommend checking out The Orville, it’s Star Trek with a laid back attitude. F or the first season it’s a bit more humour heavy , and then gets properly dramatic and intense in the second season (with a joke here and there, but less that the first). Each episode tackles real issues, not what you’d deal with on family guy, and parallels a lot of modern day issues in a sci-fi flavour. I recommend watching the first 3 episodes in a row to get a proper taste, if you just watch the first you might not get the best representation.
